It would be a dream come true to work on hard problems with ambitious and smart people.

But cracked startups are not typically well known, so I wanted to make a place where we can pool knowledge of them for when we want a job.

If you think a company should be here and its not:

add your suggestion here :)

and I’ll add it to this page!

CompanyWhat they doWhy they are so cool
CursorMaking an AI centered IDE for AI-Human hybrid codersThey build custom next action prediction models and do memory/speed optimization research for blazingly fast AI interractions (lots of caching and low level stuff too). “Fast is Fun” from their appearance on the Lex Friedman podcast. I tried cursor and I can confirm its fun. I am an official convert now. Members seem to be very talented and very technical from their appearance on the podcast.
Physical IntelligenceMaking general purpose robotics modelsThey are a very early startup and have very talented members such as early employees of Stripe, Ex-Google Brain researchers, Senior Mechatronics Software Engineer from Anduril. Many members have blogs saying they want to create another “Bell Labs”. They also open-sourced pi0 (a general robotics model) and it can do an impressive amount of household tasks.
SubsenseDeveloping wireless high resolution Brain-Computer InterfacesBrain computer interfaces are the next level of human-computer interraction. Non-invasive methods are usually too low resolution to be useful, but invasive methods come with big risks and general stigma to the public. This technology if it works, would have nanoparticles transported into the brain with a wireless device outside reading/writing signals to the particles. This opens the door to widespread adoption because it would be both useful and non-invasive
